Spectacular Antique Victorian White Cotton Matelasse Bedcover woven with All-Over Iris Lattice Pattern and Little Bird, 62x92"

This is one of the nicest antique white cotton matelasse bedspreads, ever. The coverlet was woven in a gorgeousiris flower lattice pattern and it has fringes on the two short ends (top & bottom). Woven in the center is a crest with birds above a standard with the words "City of Leeds Hospital." The design is elaborate and beautiful and the cozy yet sturdy cotton looks fresh anywhere. It measures 62 x 92".

Excellent condition, even with a tiny minor sprinkle of rust. It dates from the turn of the century, English, c.19th century. Stock 5118. $130.
