A Superb Set of Seven Very Large White Linen Damask Napkins, Embroidered with "EW" monogram, Royal Saxon Provenance, 27x28"

This extraordinary set of seven exceptionally large, luxurious and heavy white linen antique napkins are woven with swags of flowers and are embroidered with the initials "EW" inside a shield-shaped cartouche, surmounted by a three-lobed flower. The woven pattern is beautiful and the quality is superb.

They measure 27x28", which is unusually large and they are absolutely wonderful. The condition is pristine. c. 1900. Provenance: From Property of a member of the Princely House of Saxe-Meiningen.
