Superb and Unusual Antique Silk Quilt in Grandmother's Flower Garden Pattern, 81.5x77"

This antique quilt, made in the "grandmothers' flower garden" pattern, is exceptionally well-designed with a great balance of color and a very attractive design. It is backed with a lovely gray and black-striped silk. It is an absolutely beautiful piece even though it has some shattering and holes.

I also love the scalloped edges that lend a bit more personality than if the edges were just straight. The allover condition is actually pretty good. It would display well but would not hold up to snuggling. It measures 81-1/2" x 77. It is offered "as discovered." c. 19th century.
