Superb 19th century "Tumbling Blocks" Silk Quilt with Printed Cotton Back, Navy Blue Fringe, 50x61"

This beautiful and unusual antique silk quilt is made in the "tumbling blocks" pattern. The quilt has silks and taffeta fabrics and blue silk fringe. It has black floral cotton fabric backing. It measures 61" x 50". The condition is mostly excellent. A few of the silks have shattered but most of it is fine and it looks amazing. There is also some wear to the cotton backing.
