A Beautiful Antique Handmade Tan Silk Maltese Lace 5x29" Collar and Imperfect 12" Silk Handkerchief

This antique tan silk Maltese lace collar has a pretty design of big sunflowers surrounded by small 4-lobed wheat-ear flowers. It is gorgeous and it is a wonderful example of Maltese lace. It was basted to be shorter but you can remove the basting and the collar will be a few inches longer. The condition is excellent although it has a separation at the top.

I included the silk hanky because the laces in the the the two pieces looks so similar. And the hanky lace is in good condition. It is the silk center of the hanky that has worn. And, it was just way too pretty to toss. The center of the hanky is damaged. c. 19th century. Stock 22428.
