This exceptionally grand set of 12 mid-19th century antique French napkins are also historic. They measure 27" x 37" (slightly more than a yard wide!) and are woven in the very old diamond within diamond diaper pattern with wide bands of woven borders.

There are small hand embroidered red "MC" monograms in one corner and whitework "AF" monograms in the center. They came from a French, Huguenot castle provenance. Excellent condition (even with very faint stains here and there that most people would not notice.) These are impressive, beautiful and exude graciousness and antique beauty. And of course, they make an amazing stack when you see them in person! France, c.1850. Stock 9311
