An Exquisite Antique French "Princess" Tape Lace Collar

This antique lace collar is made from very delicate and airy premade tapes and it has a machine-made rose in the center that is imitation Brussels lace. I am not sure whether one wore the piece in the front, like a bib, or wore it cape-like, tied in front. It measures 11" across the top and each side is 21" long. The condition is excellent.
