Exceptional and Rare Antique 19th century Jacquard / Damask Turkey Red and Black Tablecloth woven with Greek Key and Berry Sprig Borders, 56x78"

This gorgeous fringed antique Turkey red cotton damask tablecloth has an exceptional 19th century pattern with tiny squares and berry-like sprigs. Rich, glowing, beautiful, rare, the color is true red red and the fabric is substantial and flowing. Interestingly, when I laundered this piece, it actually did not need to be ironed. It is rare and superb. (and beautiful)

The "right" side to face up is the red borders with black diamonds as shown in the last photo; however, the "wrong" side is also striking and beautiful, the nature of the damask weave.

It measures 56x78" including the 3" fringe. Strong and gorgeous! Even the fringe is excellent. Excellent condition, even with one tiny darned repair. c.1875-1900. Amazing in person! Stock 17201.
