Superb 19th century Antique Bobbin, Net and Needle Point Lace Bedcover with Figural Insertion, Laces

This antique white mixed lace bedspread has a filet lace insertion of a classical figure in the center flanked by two winged cherubs that are also in filet lace. It has fantastic bobbin lace insertion borders and fabulous bobbin lace medallions with wheatears as well as whitework squares embroidered with flower baskets. It is absolutely wonderful. It measures 76x88". The condition is excellent; there are some places where the lace is separating. There is a pale yellow stain on the back which can not be seen from the front. c.1900-40s.
