Wonderful 19th century Antique Lady's White Cotton Porkpie hat or Bonnet with Eyelet Embroidery and Irish Crocheted Lace Rosettes

This antique white ribbed cotton brimmed porkpie hat, cap or bonnet is embroidered with eyelet and whitework and it has Irish crocheted lace rosette inserts. The top of the hat buttons onto the brim. The brim measures 12" wide edge to edge. Museum collection provenance; a tiny number sewn inside was the museum's inventory catalog number, however, it faded when I laundered the hat. Excellent condition although it does have a faint spot. c.19th century. Stock 18154
