This incredible rare antique embroidered Ayrshire white-work shawl is a spectacular testament to an embroiderer's prowess. The fabric is superfine ecru cotton lawn and even the design of repeating bouquets is spectacular. It is large and triangular. The condition is not perfect although the embroidery is the epitome of perfection itself. c.19th century. Stock 13214.
