Cynthia’s Antique & Vintage Linens
This beautiful Christening dress has a bodice and "robe front" bottom made with bands of embroidered lace alternating with rows of pintucks. It has been deaccessioned from a New England museum where it had been stored in an acid-free museum box. The bottom has two sets of pintucks alternating with embroidered scalloped borders. The waistband is 1.25x19" around, the bodice top is 6" high and the skirt is 36", making the overall length about 44". Armpit seam to Armpit seam is 9.5". Excellent condition. c.1850-1900.
