Gorgeous Unused Antique White Irish Linen "Old Bleach" Brand Hemstitched Bridge or Tea or Luncheon Tablecloth and Six 16x15.5" Napkins Hand Painted with Pink and Yellow Flowers with Accents of Blue and Lavender, 54" square

This superb antique tablecloth and set of 6 matching napkins are a lovely example of hand painted Irish linen made by the "Old Bleach" damask company of Ireland. The set features a floral design hand painted in pink and yellow with green foliage and smaller flowers in blue and lavender. The woven pattern in the lustrous damask is borders of scrolls and flowers surrounding the larger painted flowers.

Note: This type of work is more commonly found on rayon damask; to have it on linen is a rare treat.

The condition is excellent. Never used, nor laundered until now. Please note that the photos show both the "before" and the "after" laundering results. From Ireland, c. 20th century.
