Exquisite Vintage White Linen Tablecloth Embroidered with Punchwork Mosaic Designs, Needle Woven Filled Cutwork and Embroidered with Spectacular Anemone Flowers, 67x99.5"

This superb vintage very white linen tablecloth is beautifully embroidered with anemone flowers (or dahlias, perhaps?) which are interspersed with the finest mosaic work. It displays a wonderful sample of assorted techniques. And, they are all expertly sewn. The whitework embroidery is gorgeous quality; the mosaic work is wonderful and the needle made bars of the cutwork sections are fine and well made.

The color is bright white and the lightweight linen fabric is superb. The fabric is fine and light but the cloth weighs a lot because there is so much of it. The design is beautiful and this tablecloth will not disappoint.

It measures 67x99.5". The condition is pristine, even with a quarter-sized hole in one corner. This tablecloth is very fine as well as exceptionally beautiful. It is truly spectacular in person! c. 20th century.
