Great Vintage Embroidery Kit with Instructions and Some Floss, a Pair of White Cotton Runners Stamped with Pansy Flowers, 13x39"

This is a sweet unfinished pair of vintage white cotton runners, also known as dresser scarves. They are a kit that was never embroidered. The instruction sheet is with them along with 4 skeins of green and two skeins of yellow floss. (Lavender is also required, according to the instructions.) They are stamped with a design of pansies and the caption "No. 719, American Thread Co, Sanforized Indian Head." They have raw edges.

They measure 13x39". The condition is excellent, though slightly soiled from storage. It was customary to launder these things after they were embroidered to remove any grime from handling as well as to help fade the stamped pattern. c. mid-20th century. Stock 24430.
