Exquisite Set of Fourteen Large Antique White Linen Crepe Napkins with Hemstitching, Reticella Needle Lace and "JPG" monogram, 26.5 x 25.5"

This exceptional and very large set of 14 antique white linen crepe napkins has two lace insertions. One is an 8-lobed point de Venise needle lace "JPG" or "JTG" monogram and the second is a circular Reticella needle lace medallion enclosed by embroidered flowering vines. They have drawnwork borders and hemstitched hems and the fabric is (relatively_ heavy and textural. The condition is excellent. It is wonderful to have more than a dozen! c.19th-20th century.
