This exquisite antique pale lemon yellow double damask towel is woven with a spectacular figural border with winged lions, like the lions of St. Mark, the symbol of the city of Venice. Each lion hs one foot raised on a ball or globe. It has hemstitched hems on each end and it is embroidered on one end with a lovely "GVB" monogram in a taupe-rose colored thread.
