Superb Antique Whitework Cotton Collar Embroidered with Exquisite Tiny Stitches, 14x4"

This gorgeous antique white cotton collar is beautifully embroidered with mesmerizing tiny stitches in a beautiful design with flowers and a sort of entwined dotted chain that wraps around the floral border. It has scalloped overcast edges. It measures 4x14".

It has been deaccessioned from a museum collection and it has the museum i.d. number sewn on the reverse. The condition is lovely although it does have some pale discoloration and wear. c.1900s. Stock 18216.
