Superb Antique Embroidered Whitework Collar, Exquisite Tiny Stitches, 1.5x12.5"

This gorgeous antique white cotton collar is beautifully embroidered and nearly covered with mesmerizing tiny stitches in an absolutely beautiful floral and eyelet dot design. Inside each minute scallop is an open dot surrounded by buttonhole stitches.

It measures 1.5x13.5". It has been deaccessioned from a museum collection and has the museum identification number sewn on the reverse (C74-104). The condition is excellent. c. 19th-20th century. Stock 18193.
