Superb Antique White Linen Sheet Set, a Sheet and a Pair of Pillowcases Embroidered with "C" Monogram Crests, 83x120"

This magnificent antique white linen sheet and pair of matching pillowcases or shams are embroidered with exquisite crested "C" monograms. The monogram could also be interpreted as "ic" or "ci."

The sheet has a hand withdrawn drawnwork insertion border that turns the corners of the turndown instead of going straight across. (another exquisite detail!)

The sheet measures 83x120" with an 8" high monogram and the pair of pillowcases measure 20x33.5". The fine, lightweight white linen fabric is amazing and to have the set together is extraordinary. The condition is excellent. c. 1900-20s.
