Superb Set of Eight Antique Soft-White Linen Doilies with Handmade Bobbin Lace Edging, 12"

This exquisite set of 8 round linen-centered doilies has spectacularly pretty bobbin lace edging with three-dimensional dots and wheatears. The dotted "bumps" are called tallies and they add a lovely 3-dimensional quality.

They measure 12" edge to edge and the linen center is 5". The condition is excellent. c. 20th century.
