This is a lovely and evocative painting of the wind-swept Dutch countryside. This Dutch Old Master painting is in a gold gilt frame and dates to the late 17th century. It is an oil on canvas and the scene has a windmill and two figures walking. I could not see a signature; the nameplate is no longer there. On the back of the canvas is written S. Cahen, 6 rue Lafitte, Paris. It measures 25x19.5", not including the 2" frame. The gilding on the frame has been damaged and is darker in places.
