Superb and Unusual Redwork Pillow Sham Turkey Red Crochet This antique white cotton sham is embroidered with tambour work Turkey red thread. The fabric is a light, slightly linen-weave white cotton and the sham has been backed with vintage linen damask to make it into a slip-in style sham. It measures approx. 30" square. The unusual element is the red and white hand crocheted and rickrack lace edge. It's wonderful! Mostly good condition, although there is slight damage to the lace, a tiny pale spot and an 8" section of lace that uses pink thread rather than red. However, it is spectacular! (of course, much better in person) It measures 24x27". c.1900. Stock 1774. $60. Sorry, this item has been sold.
