Remarkable Unused Antique Fringed White Linen Damask Show Towel Embroidered with Ducks, 23x64" This exquisite unused white linen show towel is embroidered on one end with a duck pond design that is reminiscent of Japanese influence. I do not know the significance of this; perhaps it was someone's personal whimsical theme. It also has wonderful, long, knotted macrame fringe. The gorgeous, heavy fabric is woven with a pattern of flowers. It measures 23x48" not including the 7" fringe . The condition is excellent; it has just been laundered for the first time. c.1875-1900.
