This antique hanky keeper is pink silk with an embroidered linen overlay. The tiny stitches and the quality of the embroidery is breathtaking. It measures 9." The condition is grimy from storage and a section of the edge has detached but it is fabulous. The inside silk has a pouch which is deteriorating although the quilted background is fine. I think that the color of the linen, which is now tan, will lighten substantially with washing. c.1930-40s. Offered "as discovered". (I can remove and launder the linen, if you like, but I can not re-sew it onto the satin. Please let me know.) Stock 19779. $40.
