This bolt of superb antique white linen damask is exceptionally fine and beautiful. The woven damask pattern has large circles with interesting roses inside. In my mind, I have nicknamed these the "dinner-plate roses" because the circles are the size of large dinner plates, actually enormous dinner plates because each finished napkin will measure 24" square. Napkins larger than 22" are much harder to come by and this fabric has never been used. There is enough fabric to make a dozen immense napkins. The condition is superb and the quality is superb. Made in Great Britain, c.1920s. The bolt has just been laundered and the fabric is glorious sparkling white. The photos were taken pre-laundering. Stock 10004. $250.
