Gorgeous and Unused Antique Turkey Red Runner with Hairpin Lace, 45x22"

This exquisite antique ecru linen runner may have been designed for use on a sideboard (having decoration on three sides but not the back edge) but it was never used. It is red and white linen woven in a 1" square pattern of windowpane checks. It has been embroidered with Turkey red thread and edged with red cotton hairpin lace. Beautiful, unusual and even better in person, of course. It measures 22x45". Excellent condition, English, c.1900-20s. Stock 02695.
