This wonderful antique white cotton bedspread is embroidered with a border of maple leaves and has a central cartouche filled with apples, grapes, pears and oranges, all embroidered in Turkey red thread. It is complex, interesting and beautifully embroidered. It measures 86x90" and it has a bottom extension that was made to fit a 4-poster bed. This extension could be removed, or pinned up, if you'd prefer to use it as a tablecloth. I believe that it started out as a tablecloth with its bountiful fruit design but that it was altered to used on a bed. Your call! It is in excellent condition, it looks brand new. It has seen little or no use and it is fresh and ready for your perfect place! c.19th-early 20th century. Stock 13273. $150.
