This This heavy, luxurious and historic white linen damask tablecloth is woven with geometrical motifs in an all-over diaper pattern and it is embroidered in one corner with a crown above a "G" monogram above the date, 1907. (crown - coronet/G/1907)

This cloth is of supreme quality. Rare and spectacular, with provenance, freshly laundered, fabulous condition. It measures 88x131". The condition is nearly pristine, especially for its age; there is a tiny scraped hole, a darned repair not even an inch long and a faint discoloration along an old fold line. I tried to show these defects in sequence. ie. you see the same darn, first in situ, second as a close-up, third from the back. c.1880.
